This system addressed the challenges from the usage point of view. The operational issues-like how to input 400 insolvency notices every day while maintaining quality and integrity of data-were still left unanswered.

Once again Shergroup and SherwoodsBPO came up with the answer jointly - outsourcing. The whole process of insolvency notices entry was outsourced to Sherwoods's BPO facility in India. Several steps were taken to ensure success of the process:

  • Process migration was done by locally training a member of the offshore team - who then disseminated the knowledge to others in the team
  • The process migration documents laid down the rules and methods of communication and escalation
  • The offshore team accesses the scanned images and uses them to perform the manual data entry process
  • A quality control process was designed to ensure quality and integrity of data with strict service levels
  • The offshore team individuals have reward and penalty clauses in their individual contracts in line with the service levels
  • The offshore team was encouraged to take the ownership of the process
