The Challenges

Shergroup is a leading provider of debt recovery and legal services in UK. As a part of its diversified portfolio of debt recovery services, Shergroup runs and maintains a functional web system for the Association of High Court Enforcement Officers. This system provides consolidated data on all High court writs of Fi-fa issued to its members (for execution) and of all insolvencies filed.

The sheer volume of writs and insolvencies filed each day means that creating and maintaining such a system is a huge commitment in terms of investment and operations. The challenges faced were:

• Creating a system that caters to the need of members of AHCEO but is user friendly enough for non computer savvy people
• Maintaining a workforce for regular entry of insolvency notices; approximately 400 notices per day
• Ensuring quality of inputs
• Matching writs of executions against insolvencies
• Generating industry data on writs and their closures
