DVLA - Managing Vehicle Information
The Challenges
Shergroup provides services regarding the details of vehicles levied upon by the Enforcement Officers. DVLA/HPI checks information, which is very important and critical since it determines further action on the case. The information retrieved from DVLA check and HPI check processes gives a further direction to the case, which is very crucial in the process of collection of debt.
- Keeping a record of all requests sent and then tracking all the responses
received as well as matching the responses with requests sent to proceed
further. The process of checking Ownership/Finance of vehicles means creating
and maintaining such a system, which is a huge commitment in terms of
investment and operations
- Working on three different systems of Shergroup and interlinking them for
smooth flow of process as per requirement
- Maintaining a workforce for conducting regular registered keeper's check of the
vehicles, which were levied by the Enforcement Officers during their visits made
for collection/recovery of debts
- Making sure that all quality parameters are being met and the correct flow is
being implemented. Ensuring accuracy of these checks, making it easier for the
Claimant to decide the next course of action
- Checking if the vehicle is off/on Finance incase ownership matches with the
Debtor's details as well as checking the Theft report of the Vehicle, including
whether it is stolen or not and its Trade Value
- Seeking Claimant's approval for removal of any vehicle in case all the details
match
- Updating status in a different system, along with printing letters to be sent to
the Claimant and Defendant
- Entering information in the Sherpa net, enabling the Enforcement Officers to
decide his next Plan of Action
